Adorable Dogs Take Over A Public Pool
For the fourth year in a row, a hoard of dogs has taken over a public pool in Calgary. At the end of the season, before the pool shuts down for the colder months, it hosts Dog Day. Dog Day is a charity event that invites dogs and their owners to come and enjoy some time at the pool before it is emptied and cleaned in preparation for the next season. This year, over 300 dogs got to play in the pool, which raised about $800 to benefit the Calgary Humane Society.
The idea of a bunch of dogs playing in a pool might conjure images of tons of fur and the typical dog slobber, but keep in mind that this event only occurs after the pool has been closed to its human patrons. It's so sweet to watch all of the pups excitedly playing with their frisbees and tennis balls in the temperature-controlled waters.
