If you suffer from Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS), you're far from alone. It has been suggested that the condition afflicts as much as 10% of the population. In most cases, RLS manifests as an uncomfortable prickling, itching, or crawling sensation in the legs, resulting in an irresistible urge to move them around to relieve the sensation.
There is no medical test for RLS, and doctors can easily fail to diagnose it. Sadly, there is also currently no known cure, and most treatments consist of leg massages, adjustment of sleep patterns, and limiting the intake of caffeine, tobacco, and alcohol. This video, however, presents an alternate solution - sleeping with a bar of soap in the bed.
It's thought that there may be some kind of ionization effect at play, although no official scientific research has been done to verify this claim. Still, there are people around the world who swear by this simple trick. All you need is a bar of soap and, if you feel like being fancy, a sock.
