Elephants Rescued From Captivity Have A Blast Playing In The Rain
These elephants are not only beautiful, they also know how to have fun. They are currently enjoying the rain at the Elephant Nature Park outside Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand. Elephant Nature Park is a rescue and rehab center for not just elephants, but also dogs, cats, buffalo, and more. Opened in the 1990s, the park provides sanctuary for neglected or abused animals from all over Thailand. The park has specially trained staff, as well as open land for the elephants and other animals to roam. For some of these elephants, it is the first time they have ever been allowed to wander freely outside. The nature park also invites visitors to observe the elephants and volunteer their time to help protect these endangered animals.
