Soldiers Repay The Old Woman Who Gave Them Hugs At The Airport
As some of you may remember, Elizabeth Laird gained national attention for her good deeds towards the soldiers coming in and out of Fort Hood. She became known as the "Hug Lady" for her actions while she attended every deployment ceremony at Fort Hood since 2003. As a personal send-off, Elizabeth hugged each and every soldier to let them know how much their efforts and sacrifice mean to her and the rest of their country.
What many of those soldiers didn't know, however, is that Elizabeth has been suffering from breast cancer for the past 11 years. Recently, Elizabeth was admitted into the hospital due to her condition. She currently has a GoFundMe campaign setup to help pay for her medical bills, but these soldiers are also doing something special to help remind Elizabeth what she means to them.
