Every Day, This Chipmunk Goes Through The Most Adorable Morning Routine Ever

Chipmunks are adorable small rodents from the Sciuridae family, which also includes marmots, prairie dogs, flying squirrels, ground squirrels, and tree squirrels. There are 25 different species of chipmunks. However, all but one species, the Siberian chipmunk, live in North America. North American chipmunks live anywhere from Mexico to Canada and may make their homes in logs, nests, or bushes or create burrows with chambers and tunnels to live inside of. These tiny critters primarily eat nuts, seeds, buds, and fruits. Their cheek pouches allow them to carry food to eat or store for later. In captivity, chipmunks sleep around 15 hours each day, so it's no surprise that this little chipmunk takes his time waking up to start his day.
