Being a foster parent is tough work. It’s a lot of the same responsibilities as being a regular parent, but with an even bigger emotional roller coaster and a pretty intense bureaucracy attached to everything. Sometimes the hardest thing can simply be the fact that at some point, you might just need to say goodbye to the children you’ve been helping for months or even years. Occasionally, kids with behavioral issues can come along, and there’s that as well. It takes a pretty strong person to become a foster parent, and one who isn’t afraid of a little stress. This story is just one woman’s tale.
