Google Employee Lives In Parking Lot

Many of us travel to work every day, but very few people actually enjoy doing it. Dealing with crowded buses/subways, traffic jams and long travel times is not exactly an ideal way to spend the morning. For Brandon, a Google employee, commutes like this are a thing of the past.

The 23-year-old Google employee recently moved from Massachusetts to San Francisco's Bay Area. Upon arrival, he found out that living expenses weren't exactly affordable.

Brandon found it difficult to even afford shared housing — 2 bedrooms among 4 people would cost roughly $2,000 a month.

As soon as he knew he was getting a job at Google, Brandon started saving money for a truck. He eventually settled on a 2006 Ford with about 157,000 miles on it. Costing only $10,000, he used it as a makeshift mobile home.

Google's famous campuses include showers, free food, workspaces, and a variety of accommodations. All Brandon really needed was a place to store his clothes, a few personal items and a bed.
