Gordon Ramsay is famous for being one of the absolute harshest critics in the business. It's a reputation he's established over 10 years and 16 glorious, angry rant-filled seasons of Hell's Kitchen, and he's built a multimillion dollar brand out of his name basically just by being really mean to aspiring chefs!
Surely, someone who is so strict with everyone else doesn't make that many mistakes of his own... or does he? Turns out, Ramsay is only human and isn't immune to criticism. In this 2009 episode of Ramsay's other show, The F Word, he tries to cook a pad thai for the executive chef at The Blue Elephant, one of the best Thai restaurants in London. It starts off innocently enough, but Chef Chang doesn't really agree with Ramsay when it's time to taste.
He takes one taste and you can tell from the look on his face that he's not pleased. "This is not Pad Thai at all. Pad Thai has to be sweet, sour, and salty." Awkward! At least it's nice for the rest of us to know that even the world's best can make mistakes like the rest of us.
