Grandma Turns Her Garden Shed Into The Most Adorable Tiny Home

Monica Smith was spending a lot of time in her shed in the back yard. She said she was transforming her 8x10 shed into a tiny cabin. It seemed strange, since the shed was so close to her own two-bedroom house. It was more than just a hobby, it was a labor of love.

Monica Smith's youngest daughter and five grandchildren had lost their home. Since her own home was too small for all of them, Monica's plan was to give them her house and move into the backyard. What an awesome grandma.

This is what she had to start. Nothing much: just a simple 8x10 toolshed.

She created two stories in her new "cabin."

She added cupboard space. Looks homey!

On the other side, she was able to fit a sofa and built-in shelves. A vintage armoire provides storage and a small entertainment unit.

Doesn't this dining area look perfect for tea and afternoon snacks?

It's big enough for a bed, built-in table and closet.

You can really see here how well she used all of her space.

The most amazing part of this story? Monica did this all of on her own. No contractors, no hired hands, just her own children and grandchildren pitching in to make this tiny house happen. What an inspiring display of determination and selflessness for her family. Talk about Grandma of the Year!
