He Walks Ten Miles For A Job Interview. When He Arrives? He Gets The Biggest Shock.
Teen Jhaqueil Reagan is a person of his word. "If I say I am going to be somewhere, I am going to be there," the 18-year-old says. One winter morning, Art Bouvier, the owner of Papa Roux Po Boys and Cajun Food, a New Orleans-inspired restaurant, in Indianapolis, saw the young man walking through snow and ice, to get to a job interview.
With the minimum wage in Indiana at $7.25 per hour, Art was quite impressed by Jhaqueil's unwavering motivation. He wasn't the only one: Indianapolis' public transportation system has given Jhaqueil a year's worth of free bus passes after hearing his story. This just goes to show that hard work really does pay off, even when you least expect it.
