Here's How You Can Turn Old Socks Into DIY Swiffer Sweepers

If you have kids or pets, you may be familiar with a little invention called the Swiffer. Actually, your Swiffer is probably almost permanently attached to your hand. We love the ingenious mop that snatches up sand and hair like it's nothing. But buying those refill pads adds up and it's easy to forget to grab them.

Try out this handy hack to make your own reusable Swiffer pad, and it’s a fraction of the price of the not-so-eco-friendly disposable refills.

All you need is a chenille sock (the dollar store always carries them) and an optional little spritz of floor cleaner (if you like the damp cloths). And, voila. Once it's dirty, just toss it in the wash and it’ll be ready to go again.

Have you hacked any expensive disposable cleaning products? Let us know.
