For being such a simple and ordinary item, coffee filters sure have a lot of uses. They can clean your cast-iron pans, dust your computer screen, and even act as an impromptu muffin liner. Need to add some spice to your soup? Just tie whatever spice you like inside a coffee filter and dunk into the dish while cooking. Long story short, coffee filters are for way more than just coffee.
Our latest coffee filter life hack comes from Marianne at HGTV Handmade. She demonstrates how to turn a coffee filter into colored flowers that work as a perfect springtime decoration. All you need is filters, food coloring, glue, and paper cups. As Marianne suggests, take about ten filters and dip them into whatever color dye you choose. Then, it's just some simple folds away from becoming the gorgeous finished product you've been waiting for. The end result will leave you with a beautiful spring decoration and a little extra money in your wallet from how much you saved.
Marianne recommends this project for kids to do with adults. Parents will love the craft to hang around the house while kids will love the delicious candy that can be found in the center.
