Having a headache is easily one of the most annoying things in life. It becomes impossible to focus, your mood declines, and everything seems foggy. It's even worse when you don't have any medication to relieve your pain. Thankfully, you can use acupressure in order to get rid of that pain in no time, without any medication. These techniques have even been scientifically proven to be effective.
How to massage acupressure points.
Start by getting in a comfortable position and relaxing. It only takes about 30 seconds to a minute on average. Massage the point with light pressure and circular movements. Headaches will usually disappear during the massage, or 5-10 minutes after.
The third eye point, or Yintang, is right between the eyebrows, right where the bridge of your nose passes into the forehead.
These points are located at the base of the inside edge of your eyebrows. Massaging this area can also help relieve a runny nose and improves vision. Massage for a minute, using gentle pressure and circular motions.
The Yingxiang point is located on both sides of the nostrils, in line with the eyes. You can locate them by feeling a dimple in the bottom of the cheekbones. It opens the sinuses, reduces headaches, and relieves stress.
These points are located in the middle of the back of your head. Massaging the points can relieve nasal congestion, eye/ear pain, and severe headaches and migraines.
Located 2-3 centimeters from the beginning of the hairline, near your temples, the Shuai gu point helps relieve eye fatigue and pain in the temporal region.
These points are located on the back of your hand, between the thumb and forefinger. Pressing this area can relieve back pain, neck tension, and toothaches.
