Summer is finally here: it’s time to go hiking, invite each other to barbecues, and host pool parties. For parents, it’s also a time when your kids are (hopefully) more likely to spend time playing in the yard rather than indoors. If you’re looking for a quick and inexpensive way to keep your child entertained, then all you need to do is head over to the dollar store and pick up some pool noodles. They’re incredibly cheap and can be used for many things, including creating a fun sprinkler system for your kids to enjoy.
The people at Make It and Love It show you exactly how to build this unique sprinkler with just a few essential household items. In addition to a pool noodle, you’ll need a garden hose, a roll of tape, scissors and something to poke holes into the pool noodle. Once you have all these materials, tape off one side of the pool noodle to ensure a water-tight seal and poke holes on the surface of the noodle. After that, insert the hose into the opening of the pool noodle so that it extends across the entire length.
You should tape both sides of the pool noodle to maximize the water pressure coming out of the holes you made earlier, and to prevent the hose from slipping out while in use. Check out the tutorial below to learn more about this fun project.
