Kiss Your Double Chin Goodbye With These 5 Exercises

Whether you want to admit it or not, we've all got that little pocket of skin that appears whenever we're looking down. Yes, I'm referring, of course, to the dreaded double chin. It's notorious for popping up in otherwise cute selfies.

We all have a double chin to some extent, but some people definitely do have it worse than others. If that's you, it can be frustrating to have a problem with seemingly no fix. I mean, how are you supposed to exercise your chin? 

Well, it turns out that this area is indeed capable of being toned up through exercise, just like any other part of the body. All it takes is five simple exercises that will help tone and tighten the under-chin skin. The video below goes into detail with all of them, but here are some of our favorites:

The Ladle

Begin by opening your mouth wide and bending the lower lip inwards, closing your mouth as you pull your jaw forward. Perform each step slowly and deliberately to ensure proper engagement of the right muscles. Allow time for your muscles to relax before moving on to another exercise. Open and close your jaw to loosen it up.

Touch The Nose

This is great for extending the chin muscles. Stick out your tongue and try to touch your nose with it. Place a finger under your chin to really feel the extension.

The Perfect Oval

To train your face to have more of an oh-so-desirable oval shape, try this exercise. Turn your head to one side and thrust your jaw forward. You'll feel the extension of your jaw and neck muscles. Hold for a few moments, then repeat on the opposite side.
