Imagine you’re out for a walk and you come across this massive, abandoned building. It’s in the middle of nowhere, and the doors are locked shut. Out of curiosity, you step up to a window to peek inside (or at least I know I definitely would). There’s something in there, but what could it be?
That’s basically exactly what happened to one curious photographer in Portugal one day a few years ago. When he peeked inside, he was able to see that the entire barn was packed to the brim with an unbelievable collection of old, classic cars. These pictures first came to light in 2007, and have spread across the world like wildfire. Reportedly, the barn belongs to a former classic car dealer from the 70’s/80’s, who used the barn to store the more interesting or exotic cars that came through his shop. Once it was full, he sealed the barn, but not before hiring photographer Maneul Menezes Morais to photograph all 180 vehicles inside. It’s speculated that the barn is located somewhere in the outskirts of Lisbon.
Unfortunately, none of these gorgeous cars are for sale, and will probably never be. Can you imagine the waves it would cause in the auction world if they were?
