"Nobody Is Ever Happy To See Me," Sheriff Laments. Here's What He Does To Turn That Around

You won't find "Driving Without Ice Cream" in any State Vehicle Code or Highway Act, but that doesn't stop these fun-loving police officers in the small town of Quincy, California. They spent a few hours pulling drivers over, letting them THINK they were in trouble, then providing all of the occupants of the vehicle with ice cream cones! The prank was a joint effort by the local sheriff's department and Wall's Ice Cream. The police were hoping to demonstrate that cops are people, too, and can appreciate a good laugh and a chocolate cone as much as anyone. The ice cream cones were provided by Wall's, an international brand that started in England and is now sold all over the world under names like Good Humor and Eskimo.
