Losing a pet is a very stressful ordeal for many pet owners. Even if you’re the most attentive person ever, there's always a possibility that your dog or cat will find their way outdoors and wander far from home. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), there’s a 1 in 3 chance that your pet will get lost at some point in their lifetime. In fact, most stray animals were once pets that got lost and ventured too far away from home. Abandoned pets often end up in animal shelters, and, in the worst cases, on the streets fending for their lives.
Recently, a dog named Zeus went missing from his home in Florida. His owner searched everywhere but wasn’t able to find him for two years. She was about to give up her search, until, one day, she received an unexpected call informing her that her dog had been spotted in Dearborn, Michigan. She immediately got into her car and drove 1,080 miles to visit her long lost friend. It seemed unlikely that Zeus would remember her after being apart for so long, but the two immediately bonded with each other as soon as she got to the animal shelter.
Their touching reunion was captured on film, and uploaded to Facebook where it was watched more than 2 million times. After seeing the video, you’ll know why so many people think it’s the best pet reunion ever. It will make your day.
Don't forget to SHARE this amazing reunion with your friends and family.
