Quadruplet Calves Are An Adorable And Rare Sight To Behold

While there are plenty of animals out there, such as pigs, dogs and rats that frequently give birth to numerous offspring, several of the better-known farm animals out there are far closer to humans in terms of reproduction. Horses and cows in particular only rarely give birth to more than one baby at a time. Twin calves are rare. Triplets rarer still. Quadruplets? Mama cow should think about playing the lottery. The odds successfully birthing quadruplet calves are 1 in 11 million. That's actually the same as a human delivering a set of identical quadruplets and every bit as challenging, if not moreso. Amazingly, three calves were born already before a vet arrived on the scene.
