Remove Ice From Your Windshield In No Time With This Simple Trick

Other than the awesome holiday traditions and food, I honestly loathe most aspects of winter. It's cold and it's icy and the worst part is that it's always the coldest and the iciest in the morning, right when you least want to deal with it.

It's bad enough that it's so dark and cold when I wake up but the worst part has got to be knowing that you actually have to wake up a few minutes earlier than usual because you have to defrost your car's windshields before you can do anything. Using the heat is a waste of fuel and using one of those plastic scrapers is just plain annoying and time-consuming.

Thankfully, there's a quick and easy solution to the problem that's literally as easy as spritzing a spray bottle. In this video, you'll see how a simple mixture of 2 parts rubbing alcohol to 1 part water with a spoonful of dish soap mixed in gets that ice off instantly.

It's actually kind of insane how well this works. Scientifically, alcohol has a much lower freezing point than water/ice (pure ethanol freezes at -174.6º Fahrenheit, whereas water freezes at a mere 32º F), so it makes sense that the alcohol spray would cause the ice to melt.
