An Organization Rescues Cats And Lets Them Play During Yoga Classes
For those of you who are familiar with yoga, you know that there are quite a few types that suit all skill levels. There's hot yoga, restorative or relaxing yoga and even laughter yoga. The various types of yoga out there appeal to a wide range of people interested in the practice, but there's now a new type that caters to lovers of our feline friends.
Stretch Vancouver studios in Vancouver recently played host to an unusual clientele, including a group of cats in its usual yoga session. Cat lovers paid a fee to share their mats with cute kitties for the "Cats on Mats" event, which raises money for the Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association. The event hopes to raise awareness of the growing feline homelessness problem on Vancouver streets. They also hope to find the rescued kitties in the class more permanent homes.
