Rescued Ducks Swim For The First Time
When animals are rescued, the road to rehabilitation is often more complicated than many of us realize. Recuperating physically is usually only half the battle, as most rescued animals have endured experiences that make them psychologically different from their peers and are harder to socially integrate.
For the ducks in this video, reintegration into a flock had to take place as quickly as possible. The ducks would be sharing a coop with their new flock that night to be protected from nocturnal predators, so it was important that they quickly became part of the group. Part of that meant that they would have to be introduced to a lot of the daily activities that ducks normally do.
