5 Saucepan Hacks For In (And Out Of) The Kitchen
Here at Wimp we've seen a lot of life hacks for the kitchen and plenty for clothing, but we've never seen one that combines the two – until today. It's no surprise that this bizarre trick comes to us from DaveHax, one of our (and YouTube's) all-time favorite hackers. I always imagine Dave as someone who would be handy to have around during a bad day. Need to cut a rope, but lost your knife? He knows what to do. Have a cold? Use his homemade remedy. Break your iron before work? Now, he even has you covered for that!
When Dave Hax first started uploading videos in 2012, he mostly used his GoPro to capture slow motion sequences of things like bubbles, exploding eggs and water balloons. However, when his very first hack video, "How to Make a Flaming Pumpkin" received over 2 million views in October 2012, he knew he was onto something. The demand for simple, instructional videos was clearly there, and since then, Dave hasn't looked back.
As he explained himself: "I'm a trained engineer and I've always enjoyed problem solving … If you're struggling to do something or see someone else struggling, think about what could help to make things easier. Look at objects and materials in a slightly different way and think of alternative uses. We need to keep in mind that the way we do things now isn't necessarily the best, quickest or most efficient way of doing it."
Spoken like a true life hacker! As always, we are excited to see what he comes up with next.
