Taking a cruise is usually a fun, relaxing affair... unless, of course, your ship happens to find itself in the middle of a massive storm, sending 30-foot waves crashing into the ship.
This incredible footage shows exactly that, as a Royal Caribbean cruise ship carrying 4,500 guests and 1,600 crew members to sunny Port Canaveral in Florida encountered a storm so strong, it was forced to return to New Jersey while passengers were told to stay confined to their cabins.
Watching the waves crashing against third-story windows, it's hard not to be a little terrified of the awesome might of the sea. At times, the ship was reportedly leaning at a 45-degree angle. All in all, the ship suffered some damages and four people were injured as a result of the storm, but everyone reached New Jersey safely and passengers were given a full refund and discounts towards future cruises.
