This summer has been a hot one, and a lot of people are feeling pretty frustrated with it. Several parts of the country experienced serious droughts. Luckily, winter looks like it'll be a little easier on us. The Old Farmer's Almanac has just released its prediction for this year's winter weather, and it's looking pretty decent.
It seems that most of the country is in for a relatively warm winter, which also means a decreased amount of snowfall. While adults are probably rejoicing at the prospect of lowered heating bills and little to no shoveling of snow, kids are probably gonna be pretty bummed out at not having as many snow days. Winter sports enthusiasts may not be so happy about it, either, and ski resorts will certainly feel the sting of reduced business. Warmer winter weather, however, has been correlated to slightly increased lifespans for the elderly, because many heart attacks happen in cold weather as old men try to shovel the driveway.
The Old Farmer's Almanac has a long history, and it's been accurate nearly 80% of the time!
