All over the internet today, people are talking about a dad who sent his infant daughter to daycare with a strange outfit choice. He either doesn’t know what overalls are or has been playing too much Super Mario Bros.
Jeremy Basso sent his daughter to daycare in what would make most moms do a double take. His wife, Brooke Basso, took screenshots of their conversation.
“Did you send Olivia to daycare without a shirt on?” Brooke asked.
Dad replied, “Uh, I sent her with that thing.” Nice job dodging the question, Jeremy.
“I do normally dress the baby, but that morning I had a job interview so he stayed to do it,” Brooke said in an interview with Scary Mommy. “When I picked her up, I thought perhaps she made a mess on the shirt, and the daycare took it off. Our provider simply laughed and said, ‘Nope, she came like this!’”
“We laughed about it later that night and have been since,” Brooke said. We’re laughing too, Brooke.
The incident brought up some great stories from internet commenters about their own “wardrobe malfunctions.”
Here’s what that toy Yoda looked like.
Whoops. To be fair, those outfits do look a lot like real baby clothes.
We don't really have a defense for this one.
It’s like those 3-D pictures that you have to cross your eyes to see — not everyone can spot the hidden lion in the picture. Apparently, only moms can tell when their children are half-dressed.
Not everyone thought it was funny. Some moms said that she should be grateful for Jeremy getting their daughter ready at all. But that’s a task moms rarely get credit for, along with cooking, cleaning, and generally being awesome.
Doesn’t seem quite fair.
