They Set Up A Camera To Record A Giraffe. What They Capture Is Nothing Short Of A Miracle

Giraffes, or the Giraffa camelopardalis, are the tallest mammals in the world, with newborn babies standing taller than most people. In fact, giraffes' legs are about six feet tall on average. They spend most of their lives standing up and even sleep while standing. So, it's no wonder that baby giraffes cannot only stand, but they can also run alongside their family within 10 hours of birth. Once full grown, they can run as fast as 35 miles per hour for short distances, or 10 miles per hour for longer distances. This female giraffe, Marilyn, is one of the proud parents of the Memphis Zoo's latest arrival, an adorable baby giraffe. A number of spectators were simply amazed at being able to share in this truly special birth.
