While some may eventually be taken in by a shelter, it is estimated that only one out of every 10 dogs born will find a permanent home. Most often, shelters are already filled to capacity with animals that have had their owners give them up or ones that animal control have been called to remove. Unfortunately, homeless animals outnumber homeless humans by a ratio of 5-to-1. Biggie is an older German shepherd that has fallen into extremely unfortunate circumstances. Abandoned, he somehow became trapped along the Los Angeles River next to a neighborhood. The community tried to feed him as long as they could until these kind people stepped in.
