This House Might Be Small, But Wait Until You See Inside. It's Spectacular.

Inspired by his teenage years spent living abroad in Hong Kong, Macau and India, Chris Heininge developed an interest in the principle of "tiny living". The Japanese in particular have a beautiful simplistic design aesthetic that doesn't allow for crowding, even in a small space.

Chris began building his first home in a tiny home series while living in Aurora, Oregon in 1999. The small size allows for a more affordable home that's much less expensive to maintain. His family has now built over 100 homes in Oregon, Washington and Arizona.

Here is one of the homes from the outside.

And the living room from the kitchen.

Underneath the stairs to the loft space, there's a cozy fireplace.

All the appliances are included in the price of the home.

The bed is lofted above the living area.

The bathroom even has a full-size jacuzzi tub.

The cabinets can be replaced with a washer and dryer.

The total cost for one of these homes? $70,000. Amazing.
