This Owl's Eyes Might Not Work, But They Do Hold A Beautiful Surprise. You'll Be Seeing Stars.

This rescued Western screech owl was brought to the Wildlife Learning Center in Southern California after he flew into a wall. This little guy's injuries were fixed up there, but his rehabilitation staff quickly realized that he was completely blind.

Because of his blindness, he couldn't be released back into the wild.

But he has a home at the Wildlife Learning Center.

He now perches proudly beside founder Paul Hahn's desk.

The starry appearance of his eyes gained him the name Zeus, after the Roman god of the sky.

They look celestial, don't they?

Zeus is very friendly and trusting of people.

He attracts a lot of visitors.

And for the autumn holidays, he even gets his own stuffed owl friend.
