Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past several years, you’ve probably caught wind of the tiny house trend. More and more people are abandoning their large suburban homes to build dwellings that maximize every inch of space to its fullest potential. There are many benefits to tiny houses, such as sustainability and mobility, but also many downfalls. Despite careful organizing and planning, many end up feeling quite claustrophobic, with beds inches from the ceiling or kitchen tables that do double duty as office space.
However, this shed from Morristown Buildings has a completely different feeling. Although it was originally intended to be a kid’s playhouse, the owners had a different idea. What they did with the interior is simply amazing – check it out.
The 14 x 28 deluxe playhouse package was purchased for just over $5,000.
Not bad, considering the owners were able to fit in this full-functioning kitchen, complete with a double sink.
Seriously, it has more space than many city apartments! The greenery also adds a nice burst of life, which keeps the room from feeling too cramped.
Unlike many tiny homes, this one has a separate shower, sink and toilet.
And a double bed that is actually on ground level!
It’s a bit of a tight fit, but the window makes up for it.
Now it’s time to head up the stairs. It’s unbelievable that there are two levels in a place like this.
It’s not a huge space, but the possibilities are endless. There’s room for guests, hobbies, clothes or anything else that might strike a resident’s fancy.
As far as tiny houses go, this is one we could definitely see ourselves living in!
