Three Totally Yummy Things You Can Do With Your Waffle Iron

International Waffle Day takes place each year on March 25 and originates from Sweden. Literally being a day to celebrate waffles, the tradition started with confusion surrounding the Christian celebration of Our Lady's Day. Our Lady's Day is called "Vårfrudagen" in Swedish, which became easily confused with the word "Våffeldagen," which translates to "waffle day." Since then, waffles have been eaten at this time each year to welcome the coming of spring. In the United States, Waffle Day is celebrated on August 24 to coincide with the date of the U.S. patent on the waffle iron. YouTube user JumbleJoy has created a video in tribute of Waffle Day that contains some interesting takes on waffles that are sure to make your mouth water.
