Let's face it, nobody wants pests in their home. The appearance of mice and spiders is enough to freak anyone out, and understandably so.
Personally, I find mice cute - but only when they're not in my home. Sorry mouse, but I don't like the idea of my food getting swiped and/or infected.
And spiders? Don't even get me started on spiders. If my wife sees one of these, my whole night is ruined until I get rid of it.
So, how do you get rid of these pests? You could always go to the store and buy a bunch of harsh chemicals (and maybe a gas mask)... or you can make a cup of tea!
Teabags, specifically peppermint teabags, are a wonderfully inexpensive way to get rid of common household pests.
Plus, you don't have to waste a bag, you can use one that you already enjoyed as a cup of tea.
Just place the used peppermint tea bag in the area of infestation.
The smell of peppermint is a known mouse-repellant. Spiders can be driven away with cinnamon tea, lemon oil, or ginger-lemon tea.
The great thing about these solutions is that not only will your home be pest-free, it'll smell great too!
