Sometimes there is just nothing funnier than a perfectly timed prank. They’re the sort of jokes that you still talk about years after they happened. Unfortunately, we are in the midst of a practical joke crisis.
Ever since the age of YouTube, every person with a camera wants to become a star by pulling pranks on unsuspecting strangers. Most of the time these pranks are either mean, not planned out, or worst of all just not funny.
That is why today we are going through the Wimp archives to share some of the best practical jokes of the digital age and hopefully show a few up-and-coming pranksters how it’s done. Each prank will be scored with the Official Wimp Prank Rating, a very precise measurement developed by our team of scientists and based on an algorithm that is too difficult to explain or understand. So, let’s get started.
Teacher Receives One Of The Best April Fools' Day Pranks Ever – April 7, 2014
Classroom pranks don’t get much better than this. These calculating students managed to use their professor’s embarrassing cell phone policy against him in a way he never saw coming. The best part was the smooth delivery by the girl receiving the phone call and the way she slyly revealed the April Fools’ punchline. I think it’s safe to say this professor changed his cell phone policy after this class.

Prank At The Dentist's Office – July 6, 2013
Sometimes it’s best to go into a prank without any idea of what you are doing. That is what the crew of Impractical Jokers did when they sent one of their own into a dentist’s office to mess with a very patient client. What ended up happening was so ridiculous that no one could keep a straight face and the impractical joker was forced to leave. If only he had the composure of the girl receiving the phone call in the classroom then this could have been great, instead it loses a few points for lack of execution.

Twins Mirror Bathroom Prank – December 19, 2009
The best kind of practical jokes are the ones that leave you asking the big questions like “Who am I?” or in this case “Am I a vampire?” Leave it to the Germans to develop a prank that causes you to doubt your own existence. This is executed perfectly in every way, from the identical movements of the twins to the set-up of the bathrooms. It’s a complicated procedure, but it all comes together to earn the highest prank score possible.
