We all love the feeling of buying new clothes. First, you go store to store searching for that perfect outfit that fits just right and doesn't cost too much. When you finally find it, you get to bring it home, put it on, and show off in front of all your friends. There's an extra air of confidence that automatically exudes when you walk around in new clothes that you're proud of, and it is no doubt a great feeling. However, there's a hidden danger in buying new clothes, and it's one that most people don't stop twice to think about.
A news report from Huff Post Live shows how clothes that what we think might be new and clean are actually hiding germs from being handled by a countless amount of people. Think about it, when you shop for clothes, you always rummage through everything on the rack, and maybe even pick something up and try it on yourself. Now imagine everyone else in the store doing that every day. That's a lot of hands on your new clothes.
Thankfully, the solution is a simple one; just remember to throw any new clothes you buy into the washing machine before wearing them. Otherwise, you might end up with a mess of harmful germs and who knows what else. I know I haven't been the best at washing new clothes, but after seeing this, I will have to make it a part of my routine.
