To me, one of the most exciting things about being in a committed relationship with someone is getting to know everything about each other. This is a person who you can relax and be your true self around. They will see the good, the bad, and the ugly, and will (ideally) accept you for all of it. For instance, my wife knows that I can get kind of cranky if I haven't eaten an actual, filling meal all day. She calls it my "hangry" mood - a combo of hungry and angry.
Naturally, along with all of your behaviors during waking hours, your significant other is also going to become intimately familiar with any little quirks you may have when sleeping. One couple recently went hugely viral online when the wife shared her husband's hilarious sleeping habit with the world.
Meet Lindsay Stamhuis and Aidan Hailes. They've been married for a while and Lindsay has had plenty of time to get familiar with one of Aidan's funnier quirks - he talks in his sleep.
The couple started dating back in 2003 and Aidan says that he never tried to hide his sleep talking since it was something he's been doing his whole life.
Two years ago, Lindsay decided to text her husband with the hilarious things that he says while asleep. Here are some of the gems from those exchanges, as shared on Aidan's Imgur account.
Glad that worked out so nicely.
Stay away from Napoleon, he’s a troublemaker.
When it’s time, it’s time.
Uhhh … What?
The best laid plans of mice and men ... are apparently about cats.
Hope it turned out ok.
Dang it feels good to be a Belgian.
He just needed some directions.
Apparently, Lindsay made a great point in his dreams.
Suuuuure it is.
What, like you didn’t name you crock pot too?
I never want to meet the bug that’s big enough to eat cheese.
Apparently, holiday stress has led to a silent period, but Lindsay is hopeful that when her hubby returns to work, the hilarity will resume. She doesn't mind the sleep talking in the least because it keeps her entertained. As for Aidan, he's just glad he can make his wife laugh, even if it is in his sleep.
Naturally, the post has inspired a lot of people to comment with some of their own hilarious examples of sleep talking.
