A woman named Nicole shared a video on TikTok and talked to viewers about how her boyfriend got the axe from Amazon.
Nicole explained that he got a Zoom meeting invite at midnight (seriously) but didn’t see it until the next morning.
By then, he already heard about what was going on from co-workers so he knew he was about to get canned.
He wanted to take the call over the phone because he was most likely upset but his supervisor insisted on a Zoom call.
Nicole said, “Since we work from home part-time, are we not allowed to be humiliated just on the floor of our closet?”
She added, “I don’t get the laying off eye to eye over the camera. Can you explain?”
