It takes all kinds, right?

That saying applies to a lot of things in life, and art is definitely one of them.

It seems that there’s a market for just about everything out there…including art that most folks would consider ugly.

A TikTokker named Lora shared a video and showed viewers how she was able to sell a piece of art she made that she thinks is ugly…for $500.

Not a bad payday!

She started her video by stitching from another one and said, “You think that’s impressive? Hold on, let me show you the painting that I sold for $500 on Marketplace that took me 20 minutes to paint on my living room floor. And I thought this painting was ugly but this is a lesson on being ******* delusional.”

Lora then showed viewers the art she created and said, “I posted this on Facebook Marketplace and I sold it for $500, this…I mean, materials—this is 6 feet tall—so the materials were a little bit expensive maybe like $200, $175. But I posted it on Facebook Marketplace. I wrote ‘Original painting, not a print, designed by local artist.’”

A woman was interested in the piece and offered her $450 but Lora was able to squeeze an extra $50 out of her.

She was surprised anyone would want to buy the artwork and said, “I was like, ‘These people are gonna, they’re gonna rip me off…who’s gonna pay $500 for this? I drove up to their house— beautiful home. Her dad came out, she came out. They took it out the car they were looking at it they were like, ‘Oh wow, wow,’ and she paid me.”

Lora added, “This took me 20 minutes, and now I am a sold artist.”
