Kodi Lee is a 22-year-old musician. He is also blind and autistic. He took the America’s Got Talent stage with his mother, telling the judges his name and age.
When Gabrielle Union asked what he was going to do, Lee answered, “I’m going to sing a song for you on the piano.”

His mother explained that Kodi was blind and autistic, and they found early on that he loved music.
Kodi’s mom, Tina, said…
“That’s when I realized, oh my gosh, he’s an entertainer! When you’re autistic, it’s really hard to do what everybody else does. It has saved his life, playing music.”
When he sat down at the piano, his mother encouraged him with the words, “Go! Boom!”
And he did.
His performance of Donny Hathaway’s “A Song for You” is absolute perfection. The audience and judges agreed, giving him a standing ovation, and Gabrielle Union awarded Kodi Lee with her very first Golden Buzzer.
