When’s the last time your dog or cat heard his full name? Probably not since you first named him. He’s more used to responding to “Fluff-face,” “Bubba,” or any of the other million wacky names that pet owners love to call their pets.

Twitter user @metroadlib shared their own hilarious list of nicknames for their dog, Cooper. Personal favorite: “stinkboy.”

Because this tweet is extremely relatable, other pet owners quickly chimed in with their own pet’s ridiculous nicknames. The tweet has thousands of likes and retweets and they are pretty much ALL full of cuteness.

“Her?”

It’s amazing to see how nicknames just snowball. This dog’s name is basically Popeye now.

As a bonus, many of the replies include photos, so we get to fully immerse ourselves in the experience. Hellooo, Noodlekins!

In some cases, the nicknames are not traceable to the original name… at all. “Barktavia Spencer” is a work of art.

Oh, and this is definitely not unique to dog owners. Cat owners are also liable to create an entirely new set of names for their kitties.

One person’s first nickname for their cat, Diego, is just “the cat.” Fair enough. Another is “toilet paws” – also fair enough!

One person even added their pet hedgehog to the crowd. His nicknames include “lil mean ass” and “lil ball of quills.”

And another talked about their guinea pig, Francis, or “Frankis,” “my son,” or “toothless wonder.”

And even a bunny! One of which is named after Hannibal, which is a little terrifying but okay.

But for the most part, people just shared their good ol’ fluffy dogs and cats and their many nonsense nicknames.

All of this really makes you wonder: If our dogs can respond to 1000 nicknames with no problem, why don’t they ever listen to us?!?!

Ah, well. We love our Fluffernutter/Ding-Dong/Silly Goose/Crazy Pup/Little Dog/Shnoozermeister no matter how much he gets his fur all over the dang couch.
