Let’s give a huge shout out to economy flying. It’s cheap, it lacks leg room, and it’s nearly impossible to get comfortable for a quick nap.

Talk about a fun way to travel!

But enough with the jokes, we all know that to fly comfortably you have to pay a pretty penny for first class. But things are looking up! Air New Zealand offers an amazing feature for Economy seating. A bed called SkyCouch!

Adele Barbaro recently traveled to Hollywood via this airline and shared her experience!

She writes,

“We got to experience the Air New Zealand SkyCouch on our way here and for those that don’t know what it is, it is a unique economy option where your entire row becomes a bed.”

An actual bed! And according to her photos it looks like it is big enough for adults and safe for children.

Barbaro continues,

“So, if there is 2 of you traveling, you can purchase a third seat at half price and you will get the entire row to yourself. The legs rest all rise to meet the chair in front and create a completely flat, large play or sleep area.”

Not only can you travel in comfort, the airline offers the third seat for half price?!?!

What a deal!

It should come as no surprise that Air New Zealand is the first to offer more comfortable travel, as New Zealand is a top progressive country.

“It’s the next best thing to business (but way cheaper) and perfect for long haul flights with young families. And we all slept. We are a little thrown by the time difference but it’s nice to arrive and start our holiday without being sleep deprived!”

I’d say this is a win for family travel!

Barbaro even answered a few burning questions for Facebook followers!

Long story short… Air New Zealand has thought of everything.

SkyCouch is only available through this airline, but Air New Zealand flies all over the world.

Be sure to check them out for your next trip!
