A Man Fights Back Against Online Scams That Target The Elderly

Mar 4, 2015
Jack Vale is a comedian who rose to prominence through his YouTube channel dedicated to prank videos. Jack originally started in 2008, after he manufactured a small hand-held novelty toy that made flatulence noises. With no budget for advertising, he took his product out into the world and started filming prank videos. Those videos took off, and now he has more than 200 million views and over a million subscribers.

Jack exposes a popular scam where the elderly (or generally less tech-savvy users) are often the victims. The video has started a Reddit movement, Scam Slayers, which is "a community of individuals who are dedicated to combating the constant scamming of innocent people."
