A Quick, Informative Look At What Would Happen If All The Bees Died

Apr 4, 2015
Over the last few decades, scientists and farmers have been noticing a steady and alarming decline in the world's population of bees. While that may not sound terrible if you're as afraid of being stung as most people, bees help pollinate plants that account for nearly 70 percent of our food supply.

The cause of this decline was unknown until recently, when new studies found that a common commercial pesticide was to blame. The class of pesticides mentioned in this video, neonicotinoids, are currently the world's most widely used insecticide. Hopefully, this video spreads greater awareness so that a safer, bee-friendly alternative can be found very soon.
