Flash mobs are a phenomenon that have been around for quite a while now. It usually starts in a crowded public place with a song being played over speakers. Then, a lone person steps up and begins to dance while everyone else looks on in confusion. Before long, an entire mob gets up and join in the dance. If you have ever been lucky enough to be a part of one, you know what a memorable experience it is.
This flash mob is unique for a number of reasons. Most notably, it takes place on a beach. The coast of Tel Aviv, Israel is filled with vacationers and locals who love the sun and beautiful waters. When one man got up on his hands, no one quite knew what was going on, but after a few minutes the entire beach was overcome with dancers.
The incredibly elaborate routine was set to a medley of songs, including “Mama Mia” by Abba. It may seem like an odd choice for a flash mob, but once you see the final results, you’ll realize how genius it all was. Next time I’m at a beach and hear music, I’m just going to sit back and wait for this to happen.
