Behold The 'Tower Of Building Dreams'

Beijing really upped the bar for opening ceremonies when they hosted the 2008 Summer Olympics. Their dazzling performance relied on China’s most abundant resource: its people. With 1.36 billion people, the collective-focused nation has a long and storied history of accomplishing grand projects with more than a little manpower.

Unsurprisingly, the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympics had an equally dazzling opening ceremony, with the showstopping choreography entitled “Tower of Building Dreams,” a combination of beautiful syncronization and complex wire acrobatics, creating an undulating, morphing, human-powered tower of light.
