Blind Woman Gets To Meet Her Unborn Baby Thanks To A 3D-Printed Ultrasound
May 10, 2015
A Brazilian branch of Huggies set out to make one blind woman's ultrasound experience one she'll never forget. Using a unique 3D-printing technique, they fabricated a touchable three-dimensional version of her baby's face. By giving her this amazing gift, the doctor has given her a precious moment she would have otherwise only been able to experience at birth. How she reacts to the mold will guarantee a tear or two.
The moment a mother goes for her first ultrasound starts the beginning of a special bond between mother and baby that can't be rivaled. As a blind woman, the experience is far less significant. The sense of touch and the descriptions of onlookers are all they have to use in order to connect with their baby at this moment.
