Born Without Arms, One Woman Found Another Way To Fly

Jul 2, 2015 By Mary Madsen
Facing obstacles is a fact of life; how you deal with stumbling blocks and what you learn from them make you who you are. Jessica Cox, born without something most people take for granted, is an inspiration in the arena of not just overcoming, but smashing through the hurdles of life.

The motivational speaker credits part of her accomplish-anything mindset to her parents, who never treated her differently. When she met Taekwondo instructor Jim Cunningham, he furthered her confidence by telling her that only her attitude would not her back; with his guidance, she achieved her first black belt at the age of 14. Cox is hoping to bring her story to the big screen, having teamed with writer and filmmaker Nicholas Spark to chronicle life.
