Creepy Clown Is A Strange Mascot For Retro Commercial
Jan 29, 2015
Essentially the Rice Krispies of today covered in sugar, the cereal's initial mascot was an Asian boy called So-Hi, in the 1950's. Sometime in the mid to late 1950's, So-Hi was replaced by Krinkles, who very well may be the scariest clown on record.
Nothing says, "Hey kiddos, come enjoy some sugared rice crisps for breakfast" like the creepy, 1960's cereal mascot, Krinkles the clown. In fact, a quick web search for Krinkles will produce an endless supply of sites that declare him as the "creepiest mascot of all-time" or something similar.
