Song Il Kook (alternatively Song Il Gook) is a popular South Korean actor, most well known for his roles in the 2004 "Emperor of the Sea" and 2006 drama "Jumong." The actor gained additional celebrity status when he and his wife, Jung Seung Yeon, had triplets. The three non-identical boys were born in 2012 and are named Dae Han, Min Guk and Man Se.

Song Il Kook and the three boys have capitalized on their status and have become part of a reality-variety show that airs in South Korea, called "The Return of Superman," on KBS World. The premise of the show is a celebrity father is left to care for his children for 48 hours while his wife is sent off for a relaxing getaway during the filming. There are currently four families that are featured on the show, and each family shares a segment of the show each week.
