Goodbye, Mr. Spock: Leonard Nimoy Passes Away At 83

"Star Trek," an American science-fiction franchise that debuted in 1966, has grown to become one of the most popular entertainment franchises in the U.S. Its strange, outer-space setting was made famous with an incredible cast of actors. One of the most influential actors on the set was Leonard Nimoy, famously known as Spock.

Sad news arrived when Nimoy, age 83, lost his life to a chronic pulmonary disease. Nimoy was well-known for both his incredible portrayal of first officer Mr. Spock as well as popularizing the famous Vulcan salute. There are millions upon millions of dedicated fans that will forever remember Mr. Spock.
